I can’t hear the level-change sounds.
BlindClock’s sounds play even when the iPhone silent switch is on, but they use the media volume. Turn the volume up with the side buttons while the app is open, and check that sounds are enabled in the tournament’s settings. When the app is in the background, alerts arrive as notifications, so allow notifications when the app asks.
What does BlindClock Pro include, and is it a subscription?
Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The free version includes everything you need to run a game, plus up to 5 custom tournaments. Pro removes that limit and adds Big Screen Mode, advanced ICM payouts with chip counting, and clock themes & branding, on all devices signed in with your Apple Account.
I bought Pro but it shows as locked. How do I restore my purchase?
Open the upgrade screen (tap the Pro banner on the home screen) and tap “Restore Purchases”. The device must be signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro.
How does iCloud sync work?
Your custom tournaments sync through your private iCloud account. No setup is needed. Both devices must be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app keeps everything on the device. The running clock does not sync between devices, only your saved tournaments.
The Live Activity doesn’t appear on my Lock Screen.
Check Settings → BlindClock and make sure Live Activities are allowed. You can also turn the lock-screen banner on or off from the in-app settings while a tournament is running. On iPhone 14 Pro and later, the current level also appears in the Dynamic Island.
How do I keep the screen on during a game?
Turn on “Keep Screen Awake” in the running tournament’s settings. On iPad in landscape, the table display keeps the screen awake by itself. Plug in the device for long sessions.
I force-quit the app mid-tournament. Is my game gone?
No. BlindClock saves a checkpoint while the clock runs. Reopen the app and it offers to resume the tournament where it left off, with the elapsed time corrected.
How do I show the clock on a TV or projector?
Connect your iPhone or iPad to the screen with AirPlay or a cable (an HDMI adapter works). With BlindClock Pro, the big screen shows a dedicated tournament clock with a large countdown and the blinds, and your device becomes the remote for pausing, skipping levels, and busting players. What is an ICM chop and how does BlindClock calculate it?
When the last players agree to split the remaining prize pool, an ICM (Independent Chip Model) chop divides it by each player’s chip stack. Enter the stacks and BlindClock Pro calculates a settlement that adds up to the pool exactly. You can also set your own payout percentages and save payout templates. How does chip counting and the settlement check work?
On the ICM deal screen, tap the chip icon next to a player to count their stack by denomination. BlindClock totals it and fills in their chip count. Save your chip structure (up to 8 denominations) once and reuse it every game. If the tournament has a starting stack set, BlindClock also compares the chips entered with the chips in play and shows any difference before you split the pool.
Can I change how the clock looks or add my room’s branding?
Yes. BlindClock Pro includes seven clock themes, from dark ones like Midnight and Casino Felt to Daylight, a light theme. A theme changes the colors of the whole app. You can also set a room name and logo that appear on the big screen. Every theme can be previewed for free from the appearance settings. Applying one requires Pro.
Which devices are supported?
BlindClock runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 18.6 or later, in 12 languages: English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
How long should poker blind levels be?
Use 15–20 minute blind levels for a fast turbo game, 20–30 minutes for a standard home tournament, and 30–45 minutes or more for a deep-stack event. Shorter levels end the night sooner but force more all-ins. Longer levels leave more room for play. BlindClock’s generator picks a level length from your target duration, and you can adjust every level afterwards.
What payout structure should a home tournament use?
For 10 players or fewer, pay the top three 50/30/20 percent of the prize pool. For 11–20 players, pay four places, roughly 50/25/15/10. A common rule is that about one in five entrants gets paid. BlindClock’s payout calculator applies the split to your buy-ins and rebuys, so the amounts are ready before the final hand.
How many chips does each player need?
Plan on about 50 chips per player, with the starting big blind at about 1% of the starting stack. For example, a 5,000 stack with 25/50 blinds gives everyone 100 big blinds. Three or four denominations are enough. Color up the smallest chips once they are no longer needed. BlindClock’s live table stats show the average stack in big blinds, so you know where the game stands.
How do I create a blind structure?
The easiest way is BlindClock’s generator: enter your player count, chips, and target duration, and it builds a casino-style structure with breaks. A good structure raises the blinds by about 25–50% per level and keeps the numbers round. You can edit every level, add breaks, and save the result as a template to reuse or share.
